Vaghesh Patel is a highly skilled and result-oriented IoT Developer with over 7 years of experience in developing software for things-based applications. He is an expert in implementing different IoT messaging protocols, simulating real-life IoT cases, developing business logic, implementing business analytics, data visualization, and IoT security. Vaghesh has hands-on experience in solution design, solution architecture, prototype design, and developing proof of concepts. Vaghesh is currently working as a Staff Software Engineer at Intel, where he has developed an end-to-end IoT prototype to showcase temperature-controlled rooms using the Intel IoT Platform. He has also developed controlling and monitoring solutions using MEAN stack and cloud connections to AWS IoT platform and IBM Cloud platform. This prototype was used to showcase the value of the Intel IoT platform in many industrial events, including Intel Developer Forum, Mobile World Congress, and Embedded World. Previously, Vaghesh worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Texas at Dallas, where he developed and implemented scalable and secure end-to-end smart home devices based on Raspberry Pi. These devices included a smart sprinkler system, smart lighting, door lock, garage access, and smart thermostat with over-the-air firmware mechanism, power over ethernet, and cloud-based DB replication system. He also developed the infrastructure to support more than 1000 IoT devices for connecting to cloud infrastructure and developed tools to monitor and control through web-based and mobile applications. Vaghesh holds a Master's Degree in Computer Science from the University of Texas and a Bachelor's Degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering from GTU. He also completed his high school education at Gandhinagar International Public School.
