Vaibhav Adlakha is a technology leader with over 13 years of experience in designing and developing high-scale web and mobile products across various industries, including e-commerce, travel, media, OTT platforms, and supply chain. He is passionate about merging technology with product design to build products and teams that can scale and deliver results for businesses. With over 5 years of experience managing big engineering teams, Vaibhav has a knack for building and leading high-performing teams. He has a proven track record of re-architecting backend platforms and building engineering teams to make them more scalable and handle peak concurrency of millions of users. For instance, he re-architected the ecommerce portal for Healthkart and scaled it to handle 50x more traffic, resulting in a 10x growth in transactions. Currently, Vaibhav is the VP Engineering at Fox Corporation, where he is building the engineering team in India to solve video streaming at scale. Previously, he worked as the Director of Technology at Hotstar, where he led the backend engineering team responsible for building the content and experience management system. He was responsible for the entire pipeline to ingest videos and make them live and architecting the platform with microservices to build a scalable API platform for varied clients at Hotstar. Vaibhav has a Master of Technology in Computer Software Engineering from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani, and a Bachelor of Technology in Electronics and Communication from Jamia Millia Islamia. He also attended Delhi Public School for his secondary education.
