Vaibhav Agrawal is a Vice President of Software Development at Quantbox Research, where he is responsible for building Crypto HFT Infrastructure. With over 8 years of relevant experience in the High frequency trading / fintech domain, Vaibhav is a passionate programmer and crypto enthusiast with a hyper growth mindset. Prior to his current role, Vaibhav worked at Tower Research as a Software Developer in both the Historical Market Data & Simulation and Referential Data Division teams. In the Simulation team, he wrote low latency high performance C++ code handling market data for 180+ markets, making it the best high frequency Simulator on Wall Street, directly impacting the P&L of the firm. He also made a GUI for Simulator in PyQT5 for visualizing Market as well as Simulator book at a particular timestamp as well as future events in historical market data to help traders debug problems in their strategies. In the Referential Data Division, Vaibhav created and maintained automated feeds of instruments on 100+ exchanges worldwide and worked on time-critical referential data projects such as MIFID2. He also mentored new team members and gave presentations to other teams within the firm regarding the design and architecture of the security master platform. Vaibhav has a Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics and Instrumentation from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani.
