Vaibhav Gupta is an experienced Software Engineer currently working at Facebook. With a career spanning over 9 years, Vaibhav has worked with various companies in different capacities. Prior to joining Facebook, Vaibhav worked as a Software Contractor at US Expediters and as a Technical Architect at Zealo Solutions Pvt. Ltd. At Zealo Solutions, Vaibhav was involved in designing and creating a relational database in PostgreSQL using ER modeling and SQL scripts. He also integrated the database with Java service using Hibernate ORM and HQL and used hibernate relations and fetching techniques to maintain data consistency and optimize query execution. Vaibhav effectively used interfaces and dependency injection for Inversion Of Control to create a plugin architecture for the Java REST API service. He also developed infrastructure for logging, database transaction management, API authentication and authorization using Aspect Oriented Programming (AOP). Apart from his work in web development, Vaibhav has also developed an Android application where he implemented features like video streaming and interactive map-based discovery. He designed and developed a local database in Realm, improving performance and user experience. Vaibhav holds a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in Computer Software Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay. His technical expertise includes software engineering, web development, SQL, Java, Spring, infra, and Android.
