Vaibhav Gupta is a Fellow at CERN, with a passion for kernel hacking, Linux, RTEMS, and all things related to hardware. He is a curious learner who has explored various domains in computer science before deciding to make his career in the domain of OS/Kernel. Vaibhav is a leader and a team player who takes responsibility for the whole team and has managed social media profiles for the Open-Source society of his college. He is committed to doing things correctly and cannot compromise long-term success for short-term results. As a software engineer, Vaibhav codes to make a user's life easy and provides customization options without code modifications. He enjoys thinking out of the box and is committed to innovation, quality, and standards. Vaibhav has experience in programming languages such as Assembly (x86, ARM, RISC-V), C, Embedded-C, C++, Rust, Python, and Shell scripting. He has worked with software and platforms such as Linux/UNIX, GNU tools, Git, Arduino, RTOS, RTEMS toolchain, and NodeJs. Vaibhav's relevant experience includes 1.86 years of work in the industry. He has worked as a Software Engineering Intern at Texas Instruments and as a Linux Kernel Mentee at The Linux Foundation - Linux Kernel Mentorship Program. In the latter role, he removed the support of legacy power management framework from 210+ PCI drivers and upgraded them to generic. Vaibhav holds a Bachelor of Technology degree in Computer Science from Jaypee Institute of Information Technology, Noida. He completed his schooling at Ryan International School.
