Vaibhav Jain is a Senior Software Engineer at Ninja Van, currently working in the First Mile and PUDO teams. He has a primary interest in software design/architecture and database internals, and his other interests include SRE, DevOps, and data engineering. Vaibhav is also a CS Grad student at Georgia Tech (OMSCS) pursuing specialization in Computing Systems. With 3.35 years of relevant experience, Vaibhav has contributed significantly to the growth and development of Ninja Van. As a Software Engineer II, he was part of the PUDO and Stations teams and built the Dp Management Service, a new micro-service to handle all PUDO point administration and management. He also added support for POST orders in Thailand, which was a big feature and released it successfully. Vaibhav built the tech design to improve on-time parcel delivery success to PUDO points, which led to an increase in the percentage from 52% to 95%. Vaibhav has also contributed to multiple tech designs in the Station team as an acting tech lead. He presented PMD, a static code analyzer to the team and integrated it in CI/CD. He introduced a caching layer for frequently accessed DB entities (Hazelcast as Caching layer) and came up with tech designs to address 7-11 Customer/Driver Collect Integration issues. Vaibhav also took tech talks on Redis and Kafka to increase knowledge base among fellow devs in the team. In his free time, Vaibhav likes to mentor upcoming engineers, take interviews, attend meetups/conferences, and read books/research papers. He is also a mentor at ADPList, where he mentors people for fun in Software Engineering. Vaibhav's education history includes a Master of Science in Computer Science from Georgia Institute of Technology, a Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science from Jaypee Institute of Information Technology, and High School Education from Sumermal Jain Public School.
