Vaibhav Joshi is an ambitious and experienced Mechanical Design Engineer with over six years of experience in product design & development, tool design, and manufacturing technology. He has proven abilities as a liaison with great communication and negotiation skills. An enthusiastic leader with a can-do spirit, Vaibhav has the ability to motivate co-workers and is a dedicated team player with excellent multitasking and problem-solving abilities. Vaibhav has worked with CATIA V5/V6 and NX for over six years, specializing in Surfacing, Sheetmetal, modeling, drafting, assembly, and GD&T. He is proficient in CAD software such as Catia V5, NX, NX Sheetmetal, Creo, AutoCAD, and Fusion 360. He has also obtained certifications in Advanced Catia, NX Siemens PLM Software, Fusion 360, Six Sigma: Green Belt, Process Planning, GD&T, Blueprint Reading, and Manufacturing Symbols. Vaibhav has worked as a Mechanical Design Engineer and Product Design Consultant, contributing throughout the product lifecycle from concept design to manufacturing testing. He has worked on automotive design work such as closures - exterior parts. He has experience in GD&T, DFMEA, PFMEA, Project management, Liaison, RFQ, ECR, APQP, SQC, Control plans, Process Flow Diagrams, Process optimization, Six Sigma: Green Belt, Lean, Cross-Functional team (CFT), DFM, DOE, and Consumer product design. Vaibhav has worked as a graduate researcher on Innovative Billboards project at OU's Mechatronics Laboratory, where he focused on providing highly valuable and high-quality designs with reduced manufacturing costs. He has also been involved in project work for Intelligent Ground Vehicle Team (IGVC), which is a competition to design and build an autonomous ground vehicle. Vaibhav has a Bachelor of Engineering Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Savitribai Phule Pune University, formerly the University of Pune. He also has a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Oakland University. Currently, Vaibhav is working as a Mechanical Design Engineer at Innovative Billboards, LLC. He is responsible for design for manufacturing (DFM) and design reviews with expertise in GD&T, Bill of material (BOM), assembly sequences, FEA, Design Failure Modes & Effects Analysis (DFMEA), and dimensional engineering principles in design.
