Vaibhav Kumar is a highly experienced software engineer with over 9 years of experience in software development. He currently works at Samsung as a Software Engineer, where he is building components for distributed storage systems on the cloud using C/C++/Java. Vaibhav has a Master's degree in Computer Engineering from Syracuse University and a Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering from the National Institute of Technology Rourkela. At Samsung, Vaibhav is responsible for designing and developing the Object Access Layer (OAL), implementing Replication and Erasure Coding data protection policies, developing the API & the library for all store operations, and implementing store response handling & error management. He has also developed lock-free RDMA buffer management, network fault tolerance, metrics management, and the Object Redistribution (OR) module used by Cluster Rebalancing in case of a node/store failure. Vaibhav has also worked at Anritsu as a Software Engineer, where he designed and developed a multithreaded, cross-platformed C++ based VNA application. He resolved issues that were valued to incur losses of over $800K in the Asia region and improved the reliability of the application and the quality of existing software design. He has also worked as a Summer Intern at Splunk, where he developed automation test scripts in Python and carried out Migration testing across all the features of Splunk Big Data Management Tool. Vaibhav has experience working with Kubernetes, Docker, Azure, Jenkins, Ansible, and Big Data. He is an excellent problem solver with strong skills in debugging and a flair for developing innovative software solutions.
