Vaibhav Sehgal is a seasoned Software Engineering Manager with over 12 years of experience in software development and management. He has a strong background in Java, Spring, Multithreading, AWS, Microservices, Kafka, Distributed Systems, SQL and NoSQL Databases, and has experience in ReactJs, NextJs, Python, and Django. Vaibhav has built, led, and directed multiple high-performance Agile teams to launch scalable, robust, performant, and resilient products across distributed geographies. He has extensive experience in architecting and scaling systems, identifying bottlenecks, measuring and improving performance of critical pieces, from analyzing thread dumps, increasing application throughput, to optimizing database performance. He was responsible for resourcing, execution, and overall delivery of a chat-based tutoring system and a portal for financial advice for students. He established hiring standards across the company, contributed to hiring tests, trained interviewers, tracked hiring metrics, and liaised with the talent acquisition team to establish a smooth hiring pipeline from resume selection to candidate joining. He also planned, estimated, and delivered product features and integrations with third-party platforms to build and launch an online chat-based tutoring system from scratch. He built multiple microservices using Spring Boot to support complex user flows, created an event-driven architecture, and exposed APIs in GraphQL to support multiple clients.
