Vaibhav Srivastava is an accomplished Engineering and Applied Science Leader with over 17 years of experience in the field. He specializes in User personalization, ML engineering, Fraud detection systems, Graph systems, Forecasting solutions, and Fin-tech systems. Vaibhav has defined and built robust high-scale platforms and has a deep understanding of software development practices while directly/indirectly managing multiple agile software engineering teams and data science teams. He is used to working with a large variety of stakeholders, including both commercial and technical executives, from Product, Operations, Analytics, Data Science, Category Mgmt, General Mgmt, and various partner engineering teams. Vaibhav has a strong background in writing and has been a Contributing Author at Developerworks, where he has published many articles and Tutorials. He has also been a contributor to OSLC Automation workgroup, working with representatives from various companies & countries to describe the final version of the specification. Currently, Vaibhav is the Director of Engineering & Applied Sciences at Zalando, the largest Fashion E-commerce company in Europe. His responsibilities include understanding the customers and markets deeply and building technological and scientific capabilities for Forecasting, Planning, and Commercial Trading, for a wide range of markets in Europe and running the Data platform & AI charter. At Zalando, Vaibhav builds and defines the technical landscape for the group, which is future-proof and directly contributes to defining the company’s data strategy. He defines the vision and long-term roadmap for all the groups working closely with Product and Commercial leadership. Vaibhav builds close collaboration with his direct and indirect stakeholders, which include both technical and business executives. He also defines the organization design to be highly agile and create the highest impact for the company. In the past, Vaibhav has worked as the Director/SVP at Noon and as the Director of Engineering at Flipkart. He has a strong educational background with an M-Tech in Information Technology from the International Institute of Information Technology Bangalore and a B-Tech in Information Technology from APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University. Vaibhav has a diverse tech stack that includes Senior Software Engineer, Data Scientist, Search, AI, Mobile, dotNET, test, ML, Software Engineer, DevOps, Web, and Data Engineering.
