Vaidik Kapoor is an experienced engineering and business leader with a passion for building products, teams, and tech organizations. He is currently the VP of Engineering for DevOps & Security at Grofers, where he is responsible for driving agility and speed of engineering execution while maintaining quality and uptime. He is also part of the technology leadership team, where he drives systemic initiatives to make the organization a better technology org. Vaidik has a deep interest in developing software platforms that solve problems and is a big believer in DevOps and Lean Production methodologies. He speaks and consults regularly about engineering, product, technology, open-source, DevOps, and SRE. He has learned a lot by getting involved with various open-source projects and communities and the knowledge shared by the people involved. Vaidik has a diverse background in engineering, having worked in various roles at Grofers, including as VP of Engineering for Consumer Product and Software Engineer. As head of the consumer engineering team, he managed the engineering team building the consumer products (Android, iOS, and web) and was responsible for efficient engineering execution, collaboration with product and business leaders, people management, and setting up structures for scaling the engineering org as the organization grew. He also played a key role in the agile transformation in the tech team, which became one of the biggest organization transformation initiatives at Grofers. Vaidik has a B.Tech. in Computer Science Engineering from Jaypee Institute of Information Technology, Noida, and completed his Secondary Schooling from The Scindia School. His tech stack includes Senior Software Engineer, DevOps, infra, SRE, CI/CD, AWS, test, Integration, Django, iOS, Ansible, Web, Frontend, Software Engineer, Android, Redis, Javascript, Elastic Search, Kafka, and Redux. With over 10 years of relevant experience, Vaidik is a seasoned engineering leader and technology advisor. He lives in Gurgaon, India, with his wife and dog, Django.
