Vaishnavi Singh is a final year undergraduate at IIT Roorkee with a passion for brainstorming new ideas and problem-solving. She is currently focusing on software development and has interned twice in software development roles at Uber with the marketplace team. Vaishnavi has a background in data science, where she worked on biomedical image segmentation using unet with residual networks and image-to-image translation (pix2pix cGAN model). Currently, Vaishnavi is working as a Software Engineer Intern at Uber, where she is part of the External-API team and is working on a public-facing API Playground similar to Swagger ("studio" for Uber internals) for external partners. Her project aims to enhance the experience of developers onboarding with Uber, reduce the time needed for integration, and provide greater visibility and testability of Uber APIs. Prior to this, Vaishnavi worked as an UberSTAR intern at Uber, where she built a general-purpose HTTP mock server (virtual 3p operator) that enables developers to test and write automated tests without depending on the staging environment of other services. She used Wiremock as a tech base and extended functionalities on top of it, adding features like parallel testing, stateful response templating, and stateful request validation to the virtual 3p operator. Vaishnavi's education history includes an Integrated Master of Technology in Geological Technology (Earth Science) from IIT Roorkee, where she is expected to graduate in 2023. She also completed her 12th grade from Mount Carmel School, Bhopal, and her 10th grade from the same school, both under the I.S.C and I.C.S.E boards, respectively. Vaishnavi's tech stack includes software engineering, image segmentation, testing, data science, and integration. With 0.86 years of relevant experience, she is a dedicated and driven individual who is always looking for new challenges and opportunities to grow.
