Valentin Ranshakov is a highly experienced Quality Assurance Lead with over 9 years of experience in the industry. He is currently working at Klara as the Head of QA, where he is responsible for ensuring the quality of the company's products. Valentin has an extensive background in the field, having worked with several companies in the past, including Staffer.Space and MYCS GmbH. At Staffer.Space, Valentin worked on a side project to improve soft and hard skills, which allows managers to plan and track employees' working hours. He designed, built, and deployed the project on weekends, using Ruby on Rails on the backend, Bootstrap Framework on the frontend, and cached with Memcache on Redislabs. The content was hosted on Contentful, and emails were sent by SendGrid. Notifications were set with a Telegram bot, and the project was hosted on Heroku. Valentin also managed to reduce monthly QA tools spending from ~1000EUR to ~500EUR by moving automation from BrowserStack to SeleniumGrid on AWS Instances. At MYCS GmbH, Valentin was a Senior QA Engineer, where he led the conceptualization and development of the quality assurance team responsible for product launches and improved testing standards. He wrote test plans and coordinated with the team in a holacracy working environment, performed tests on different types of environments, and designed and implemented testing workflows with CircleCI on different environments. Valentin also investigated failures, coordinated and drove failure analysis, and determined root causes. He ran 1:1 meetings to resolve employee issues and performance reviews, collaborated with the CTO and PM Director to implement and instill a culture of rigorous testing into the QA process, and integrated SpeedCurve to measure website speed on a daily basis and run an extra test on each deploy. Valentin's education background includes an Engineer's degree in Computer Aided Design from MSUDT, which he obtained in 2014.
