Vardaan Sharma is an experienced Software Development Engineer III at Amazon Web Services (AWS) with over 8 years of relevant experience. He is currently working at Amazon as a Software Development Engineer III, where he is responsible for developing and maintaining software applications for AWS. Vardaan has a strong background in software engineering, AWS, web and Android development, P2P, Javascript, and backend development. Before his current role, Vardaan worked as a Software Development Engineer II at Amazon, where he was involved in developing and implementing various features for Amazon Pay. He was responsible for proposing, architecting, and implementing the Scan and Pay feature for Amazon Pay, which opened a new avenue for Amazon Pay via the offline channel as well as P2P payments. This feature is currently live on Amazon India Shopping App. Vardaan was also a member of the Tiger Team, responsible for prototyping and building best practices/design patterns for data migration to India to be compliant with the new RBI guidelines. Additionally, he worked on non-tokenized, tokenized, and hardened Android SDKs for Amazon Pay, which serve more than 80% of all external Amazon Pay transactions. This involved designing the SDKs from scratch to solve India-specific problems such as Chrome custom tab in lieu of web views for added security, low memory state management, and size reduction for lite apps. Vardaan holds a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) degree in Computer Science from Manipal Institute of Technology, where he graduated in 2015. He also completed his CBSE from Army Public School, Shankar Vihar in 2010. Vardaan's technical expertise and experience make him a valuable asset to any organization.
