Vartika Gupta is a final year undergraduate student pursuing Electrical Engineering with a minor in Machine Learning. She is a Software Engineer at Microsoft with a keen interest in the applications of Machine Learning and Reinforcement Learning in signal processing and quantitative trading. Vartika is a quick learner and loves to solve problems. She has won two BCI hackathons in 2020 and 2021 involving machine learning and signal processing. She has also interned at Microsoft in the Emerging Markets team. Currently, Vartika is an Organizer for Media and Publicity at Antaragni IIT Kanpur, where she leads a team of 20 students responsible for publicity, content, and media associations. She is responsible for negotiations and associations with 10+ media companies like Dainik Bhaskar, ETV, etc. She curates content for the Facebook page with an outreach of 200K+ viewers and manages and supervises coverage teams to ensure thorough coverage of all 100+ events. In the past, Vartika has worked as a Manager for the Career Development Wing at Academics and Career Council, IIT Kanpur. She led a team of 20 members to encourage and foster career opportunities and spread awareness about various career paths. She established infrastructure to facilitate a smooth shift to the conduction of all the activities online during Covid19. She also commenced a blog series, 'The More You Know' to give direction to the internship preparation of students. Vartika established a ‘Career Portal,’ the first of its kind centralized hub for all the resources of the Council. She organized 10+ webinars and commenced a Newsletter to spread awareness regarding industries and different career profiles. She collaborated with multiple organizations like IAESTE, GeeksForGeeks, CodeChef, HackerEarth, Demux Academy, and 15 NGOs to provide 30+ internship offers to IITK students. She successfully organized the Intern Preparation season for third years with engagement of around 75% of the batch. Vartika's technical skills include Web Development, Software Engineering, Machine Learning, Search, and Infra. She has a Bachelor of Technology degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur. She completed her schooling from Sri Guru Gobind Singh Senior Secondary School and Strawberry Fields High School.
