Vartika Sharma is a highly skilled software engineer with over 6 years of industrial experience in backend engineering and data science. She is currently working as a Software Engineer - AdTech at Walmart Global Tech, where she contributes to the design and implementation of Walmart Ads big data pipeline using Scala, Hive, Spark, Airflow, Druid, and distributed file systems. Vartika also works on improving Sales Lift Automation by implementing demographic features and binning app using k-means clustering. She is responsible for performing day-to-day duties and solving and debugging escalations pertaining to software products. Prior to joining Walmart, Vartika worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Microchip Technology Inc. where she designed machine learning classifier models for sentiment analysis and recommendation systems for financial forecasting of future demand, revenues, and expenses using Python. She also developed data extraction from disparate data sources like PLSQL, Oracle, SAP, SQL server, and designed business APIs using Flask. Additionally, Vartika designed and developed a physical inventory count web portal for the financial tracking of inventory data pipeline using C#, SQL server, and ELK stack. Vartika has also worked as a Software Engineer Intern at Imaging Endpoints, where she developed software to analyze radiology image texture for detecting cancerous tumor regions and enabled rendering of volumetric 3D medical image data. She incorporated deep learning and artificial intelligence algorithms in the software for predicting the cancer recurrence risk rate using Tensorflow, Keras, OpenCV, and Scipy.
