Varun Anantharaman is a Senior Technical Product Manager at Cisco, currently working on the company's intent-based enterprise networking solution, Cisco DNA Center. With over 13 years of relevant experience, Varun is responsible for defining system-level solutions and leading complete outbound technical marketing efforts. He is also responsible for launching a go-to-market strategy, including sales and partner enablement through trainings, webinars, hands-on labs, and breakout sessions. Varun is skilled at publishing technical collaterals such as technical decision-makers, deployment/user guides, white papers, and FAQs to support sales. Prior to his current role, Varun worked as a Technical Marketing Engineer at Teridion, where he created test virtual machines in various public and private cloud providers like AWS, Google, Azure, Digital Ocean, and Vultr. He also created a virtual backbone network in the Teridion Management System for every SaaS customer. Varun deployed the Teridion Cloud Virtual Routers (Linux VMs) in cloud provider infrastructure to speed up the internet forwarding process. Additionally, he worked on configuring the NS1 DNS settings to CNAME the origin domain name server to the Teridion network. Varun used the third-party tool Catchpoint to analyze data to validate performance improvement of internet traffic over the Teridion Network. He also demonstrated proof-of-concept to accelerate and enhance global users' file-sharing experience to a single data center hosted in a cloud. Varun co-authored a technical white paper describing the Teridion Management System solution. He attended the AWS:reinvent Conference and was responsible for setting up the booth and introducing the Teridion solution to customers and partners. Varun worked with the Product Management team to understand the new Teridion Customer Login Portal and presented the same to Teridion customers. Varun also worked as a Staff Engineer at Nuage Networks, where he tested Nuage Network's SDN solutions such as VNS (SDWAN) and VSP (SDN) and validated the functionality of its features, also covering data forwarding and performance. He was involved in testing end-to-end solutions by integrating multiple SDWAN features like Dual-Uplink, Access Resiliency, NAT, Egress QoS, and Stats.
