He is currently the Chief Pitching Officer and Founder of capcons, a platform and network of communities that engage with their members under their own brand. Varun's responsibility at capcons is to pitch his startup to anyone and everyone, including prospective customers, employees, and investors. Varun's vision is to create a worldwide network of founders, innovators, and investment professionals to support mechanisms that encourage the creation and commercialization of technology ventures. He leads product strategy, value proposition, and fundraising for technology startups, helping them improve competitiveness by innovating business models and integrating innovations into products and services in various industries. Varun's expertise involves understanding customers and technology, creativity with various levers of value-creation, and uncovering crucial gains and unaddressed pains. He uses the lean methodology and the blue ocean strategy frameworks to innovate business models. Before founding capcons, Varun worked as a Consultant at the Rajiv Gandhi Foundation, where he was responsible for transforming Rajiv Skill labs into a Socio-Technical Entrepreneurship Promotion (STEP) Centre. He also founded ColdFusion Venture Partners Pvt. Ltd., a software development and consulting firm specialized in creating digital products using Angular, Python, NoSQL, Machine Learning, and other technologies. At ColdFusion, Varun provided technology solutions that helped clients dig up valid data, rigorous analyses, external perspectives, root causes, and identify and act upon opportunities to improve their business performance by capitalizing on changes, disruptions, or opportunities that exist in their business or industry. Varun holds a degree in Entrepreneurship from ET POI, where he attended the Power of Idea Workshop. He is proficient in Blockchain, Big Data, ML, NoSQL, Software Engineering, Python, and AngularJS.
