Varun Dhall is a highly skilled and motivated Staff Software Engineer with a passion for technology and solving complex problems. With over 6 years of experience in the field, he has a strong background in Computer Science and Engineering and is dedicated to making a positive difference in people's lives through his work. Currently, Varun is a Senior Software Engineer at Fivetran, where he is responsible for designing and developing highly scalable webhook services and setting up alerts and monitoring dashboards for various GKE deployments on Google Stackdriver, Grafana, and Prometheus. He has also supported Panoply warehouse as a data destination and fixed over 200 bugs, broken and data integrity issues across the pipeline. Additionally, Varun has created custom Slack apps and Automations for internal tools, tasks, and alerts using Google Cloud Functions and Pub/Sub. He has also developed new ELT data sources for products like Intercom, HubSpot, Freshdesk, Zendesk Chat, Quickbooks, and HelpScout. Varun is also an avid contributor to Open Source Software and has twice hacked into LibreOffice during the summer of 2017 and 2015 with the sponsorship of Google Inc. under the Google Summer of Code program. In 2015, he worked on the automated testing domain and performed white-box and black-box testing for core applications like Writer, Impress, and Draw. During 2017, he replaced the EditEngine clipboard format for all the core applications like Impress, Draw, Writer, and Calc from legacy StarOffice format to Open Document Format (ODF). Prior to his current role, Varun worked as a Software Developer Intern at PaperToStone in Bangalore, India, where he revamped the UI/UX of their articles website and developed an automated system consisting of intelligent bots to manage Google Ad-words campaigns using Machine Learning techniques to automate efficient decision making. Varun holds a Bachelor of Technology (BTech) in Computer Science from DIT University and completed his Secondary Education in Science Stream from The Chintels School. He is proficient in a range of technologies, including Java, ML, Spring, Python, Web, and C, and has a strong background in software engineering and UI development.
