Varun Joshi is a seasoned Manager of Product Security at Gojek, with over 11 years of relevant experience in building secure products and applications. He is an expert in application security, cloud security, development, and design. Varun is known as a subject matter expert in mobile/web application security, DevSecOps, third-party dependency, Docker, K8s, and security architecture. He has extensive experience in secure code review, OWASP top 10, mobile security, SDLC, CI/CD, VA/PT, compliance, automated and manual securing and assessing applications, and API/UI automation frameworks for QA. Varun has a strong background in offensive and defensive security for enterprise, and he is currently leading and building product security tech at scale for Gojek superapp. He is a recognized SME in the industry and has worked with some of the biggest names in the tech industry, including Amazon Web Services, where he was a Security, Risk, and Compliance Specialist. Varun holds a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) degree in Computer Science from Govind Ballabh Pant University. He is proficient in several technologies, including AWS, Mobile, CI/CD, Web, QA, Docker, UI, and GCP. Varun is passionate about helping startups with security stuff and is always willing to share his knowledge and expertise. When he's not working, he enjoys playing pool and snooker.
