Varun Kalra is a Solutions Architect 2 at HyperVerge Inc. with a total experience of approximately 5 years building applications from scratch, deploying and scaling them. He has a passion for building things from the ground up and understands the need for the product in the market and how to give it to the audience in the best experience possible. Currently, Varun is working as a Senior Backend Engineer with North Loop Bank, where he is responsible for building, scaling, and optimizing the bank's backend infrastructure. He is also taking care of the whole team, guiding the Front-end, UI/UX, and even talking with the clients at times to understand their needs. Varun's core experience lies in NODE.js using Hapi or Express.js along with Mongo/Mysql/Postgresql. Apart from this, he has natively built 2 very versatile applications on iOS using swift 3/4 and cocoa pods. In the past, Varun has worked as a Senior Backend Developer at Brainpundits Technologies, where he single-handedly took care of the backend server and the team as a whole. He was responsible for designing infrastructure for Psychometric analysis and quizzes, session management, normalization of the score, emails, and notifications. He also made the app run offline for testing in remote areas. Varun holds a Bachelor of Technology (BTech) degree in Computer Science from NIT Hamirpur. He has also completed his Secondary School education from Sacred Heart Convent School, Jagadhari, Haryana, and his High School Diploma from Sant Nischal Singh Public School.
