Varun Kumar is an experienced software engineer with a passion for frontend technologies, particularly ReactJs and ReasonML. He is currently working as a Senior Engineer at Nagarro, where he is responsible for handling the payment vertical for a leading healthcare provider. Varun's expertise in ReactJs, TypeScript, NextJs, Apollo GraphQL, and SASS has enabled him to recreate the whole payment flow UI, including the mWeb, for better UX. He has also implemented the payment links frontend, which allows payment without the need for account creation. Varun has improved the order completion rate by adding payment retry feature, which has decreased potential revenue loss. He has revamped the post-order UI/UX by streamlining the flow for different product verticals. Varun has worked with different verticals such as pharmacy, diagnostic, etc., towards common payment flow integration. He has also migrated the styling to SCSS files, thereby removing existing material-ui dependencies. Before joining Nagarro, Varun worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Sopra Steria, where he worked as a full-stack web developer for Axway R&D. He led the UI migration of many modules from flex to ReactJs and designed, developed, and tested user stories while maintaining coding standards. Varun has created reusable functional components as needed, based on changing requirements and code optimization, and worked with react-redux, reselect, jest, restidl (used JSON schema) for rendering UI and its validation. He has also worked with various node packages such as redux-thunk, i18n, etc., and created REST APIs from the backend with Spring. Varun has been an active player in an Agile team and well-versed with SDLC processes and tools used. Varun completed his Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in Information Technology from Northern India Engineering College in 2017. He has a relevant experience of 5.78 years and possesses a strong skill set in ReactJS, Javascript, UI, Software Engineer, Frontend, Redux, Web, Typescript, Integration, Spring Boot, Spring, and Backend.
