Varun Mathur is an accomplished Engineering Manager with over 13 years of experience in engineering management, stakeholder management, architecting, and developing cloud-based highly scalable and available complex web-based products. He is an IIM Bangalore alumnus and has an amalgamation of both technical and management skills with a proven track record of product ideation, definition, execution, and support for web-based products in a highly paced agile environment. Varun has handled 1+ million records/events and 30k concurrent users and has created a 3D Model based Content Management System which opened an additional Rs 50 million revenue channel for the organization. He has also built a VR-based collaboration system that helped the organization to increase the userbase by 20%. Varun developed the Intelligent chatbot system using Microsoft Luis as NLP Engine and increased the userbase of the same from 100+ to 6500+. He has led, mentored, and guided a strong 16-member engineering team in a fast-paced environment. Varun has led product division and achieved great engagement metrics, kept product & engineering pipeline at a healthy pace, and led the customer success team and set the process that increased the application adoption by 10x. He has collaborated & interfaced with clients/partners for security & regulatory compliance, enterprise integrations, and enabled engineering to deliver fast by automating & clearing blockers, distractions. Varun has a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in Computer Science from Model Engg College and an Executive MBA in Business Administration and Management from IIM Bangalore.
