Varun Shrivastava is a Senior Analyst at AXA with 2.68 years of relevant experience in the field of Business Intelligence and Data Science. He has a Master's degree in Data Science and Spatial Analytics from Symbiosis and a Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, and Communications Engineering from Maharshi Dayanand University. He also holds a certification in Business Management from the Department of Management Studies, IIT Delhi. Varun has a strong background in creating PowerBI dashboards with interactive views, trends, and drill-downs along with user-level security. He is skilled in meeting with departments and clients to define business requirements relating to dashboard needs and designing and delivering effective visualizations. He has developed PowerBI dashboards reports using Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) for top management. Varun has worked closely with clients and departments to define various transformations to be done on source data for missing information. He has designed dashboards using PowerBI from different department data and used various kinds of security on data such as Row level Security, Performance Recording. Varun is proficient in managing and manipulating data using SQL queries. He is experienced in performing data mining and using querying languages for e.g. SQL. He has determined data configurations and patterns and modeled data through different data modeling techniques. Varun has conducted preliminary data analysis to assess the nature of data (EDA). Currently, Varun is responsible for developing best BI solutions in PowerBi/SSIS for AXA UK Plc customers. He understands the requirement, creates the data model from Oracle DB or MS SQL Server, designs the solution in QlikView/SSRS, and presents the solution to the customers using Webinar. He performs advanced data analysis and writes programs for new processes or analytical techniques. Varun works with the client consulting team to prepare study designs and sample size estimates to support client proposals. He also consults on complex studies and questionnaire designs based on study objectives. Varun coordinates with different teams when required on project flow and ensures timely deliverables. He works with internal clients to help them grow their businesses and helps internal clients understand how various diagnostic techniques answer study objectives. Varun has previously worked as a Business Intelligence Intern at AXA and as a Fellow at Alphaa AI. At Alphaa AI, he acquired an understanding of the latest technologies, marketing, and design in addition to data science.
