Varun Srivastava is a highly experienced technology professional with a passion for building products that require solving problems using data science, big data, and distributed systems technologies. With almost 16 years of experience in the industry, he has a proven track record of success in leading engineering teams and delivering innovative solutions to complex problems. Currently, Varun serves as the Head of Uber for Business Platform at Uber. In this role, he is responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of Uber's business platform, which provides businesses with a range of tools and services to manage their transportation needs. Prior to joining Uber, Varun worked at Walmart, where he served as the Director of Engineering for Search. In this role, he was responsible for improving the search and discovery experience for Walmart's e-commerce platform. He also worked as a Director of Engineering for Search at Walmart, where he led a team of data scientists and engineers to help customers find their grocery products on Walmart's website and in stores. Varun holds a Master's degree in Computer Science from the University of Texas and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the Indian Institute of Information Technology. He also completed his 12th grade education in Physics, Computer Science, Maths, and Chemistry from BHS.
