Vasily Vylkov is a highly experienced Senior Software Engineer and tech lead with over 13 years of experience in backend systems, real-time and embedded systems, medical devices, and applied mathematics. He has a demonstrated proficiency in C++ and C, Java, Python, and functional-programming languages such as JavaScript and Scheme. Vasily has 4+ years of experience in developing large scale distributed systems and running long term refactoring/rearchitecture programs for Amazon Alexa cloud platform. He has also gained 2+ years of experience writing frontend web UI and backend services for Google Maps StreetView internal use. Vasily has 3+ years of experience in 3D computational geometry, metric tensor based nonlinear error correction, and optimization at St. Jude Medical (now Abbott Labs) on the EnSite Velocity intracardiac navigation and mapping system. Additionally, he has 3+ years of experience in C and assembly language for embedded systems and real-time network drivers, as well as 3D height mapping and reconstruction algorithms at CyberOptics and DSP Control Group.
