Vatsal Rastogi is a highly skilled and experienced software engineer with 8.61 years of relevant experience. He is currently the Co-Founder of Lucidity, a company that is building an autonomous storage management system for the cloud. With Lucidity, Vatsal is focused on eliminating the time spent in managing cloud infrastructure while providing higher availability at a much lower cloud cost. Prior to founding Lucidity, Vatsal worked with Swiggy, where he held the positions of Software Development Engineer III and IV. As part of the Search and Discovery team, he contributed to building one of the most robust systems handling very high throughput while maintaining SLAs. He also took ownership of various systems for Swiggy, including Authentication and Identity management, Home and menu workflows of the consumer app. Vatsal was involved in cost savings initiatives of the company that led to large savings in AWS spends. He was part of the AWS well-architected review that helped streamline and identify nuances for the caches and databases within the company. Technologies used Java, Golang, Python, Mysql RDS, ElastiCache, ElasticSearch, Kafka, EMR, etc. Vatsal is a graduate of Birla Institute of Technology and Science, where he earned his M.Sc.(Tech) in Information Systems. He has a strong technical background and is proficient in a variety of tech stacks, including infra, AWS, MySQL, Elastic Search, Kafka, Search, Python, Golang, and Java. Throughout his career, Vatsal has demonstrated a strong ability to work collaboratively with product teams and contribute to product definition and user experience. He has played an active role in hiring, product planning, implementations of best practices, and operational stability.
