NSS DTU has a volunteer base of around 250 students belonging to various disciplines of engineering at DTU. We work on a diverse range of social and environmental issues viz. literacy and health awareness. The overall aim of NSS-DTU is to give an extended dimension to the higher education system and orient the students towards community service while they are studying in the institution, more precisely, to establish a meaningful linkage between the campus and the community so that their interaction with the common villagers and slum dwellers will expose the students to the harsh realities of poverty-stricken life and bring about a change in their social perception.

Feels great to be a part of this project called Mars Colonization program! Wish the college hadn’t announced exams in the same month.

Had a great experience being a part of Microsoft Codess (Coding Event By Microsoft) Chapter 2020 wherein 110 folks were selected from various  colleges across India. Subsequently, I also participated in Microsoft Ideothon pertaining to sustainability goals 2020

Today, NSS has more than 3.2 million student volunteers on its roll spread over 298 Universities and 42 (+2) Senior Secondary Councils and Directorate of Vocational Education all over the country. From its inception, more than 3.75 crores students from Universities, Colleges and Institutions of higher learning have benefited from the NSS activities, as student volunteers.

Kalam ko Salaam (KKS) is a long running program of NSS DTU, wherein the volunteers interact with the children of Shubhakshika Open Shelter to help them build their knowledge about various subjects.
