Currently, he is a Member of Technical Staff at Rivos Inc., where he is responsible for developing cutting-edge technologies for CPU micro-architecture, x86 ISA architecture, security, virtualization, power management, new instructions, and more. In his previous roles, Vedvyas has worked at Intel as a Sr. Principal Engineer, where he contributed to the development of processor microarchitecture and ISA architecture for security, virtualization, ISA, and power management. Vedvyas has a strong educational background, having earned a Master of Technology degree in Computer Technology from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) in Delhi and a BE degree in Electronics and Communications from Mangalore University. He has a diverse range of technical skills, including expertise in CPU micro-architecture, virtualization technologies, media processing, Windows and Linux driver development, network processor microcode development, distributed fault tolerance, and more. He is also well-versed in programming languages such as C, C++, and Assembly, and has experience working with VxWorks, Linux, Windows, and CDOS. Vedvyas is an expert in the field and has made significant contributions to various industry forums and working groups. He was the vice-chair of the Network Processing Forum software working group and editor of various ATM-related FAPI specifications. He is also knowledgeable in 2G GSM protocols, DTMF, MF-R2, CAS, local loop signaling, and SS7 protocols MTP2, MTP3, SCCP, TCAP, ISUP.
