Venkata Chitturi is a Senior DevOps/Release Engineer at Apple with extensive experience in software development, build automation, and systems/devops engineering across multiple industrial domains. With a deep working knowledge in setup/configuring and automating databases such as MySQL, MongoDB, and Postgresql, Venkata has also administered several Linux/Unix and Windows servers. Venkata has worked extensively with Continuous Integration tools like Jenkins, Hudson, and Bamboo to achieve end-to-end automation by One-Button-Click right from code building, code testing, deploying, testing the application in dev environments till it promoted to production. He has also designed and worked as an administrator for source code repository tools such as Subversion, GitLab, and tracking tools JIRA, Confluence, and repository management tools Nexus and Artifactory. Venkata has extensive hands-on working experience on Configuration/Container Management tools such as uDeploy, Chef, Ansible, Docker, Kubernetes to automate and achieve configuration as code to maintain idempotency/consistency in installation/upgrading/deployments of configuration/software from dev environments to production with necessary approvals passing stage by stage. He also has hands-on working experience on Infrastructure as a Services(IaaS) such as AWS, VMWare to automate the provisioning of servers and the whole stack to maintain zero downtime. Venkata is a subject matter expert on monitoring tools such as Big-Brother, Nagios, Icinga, Quest, and Splunk. He has installed, configured, automated, and worked with a variety of software such as WSO2 ESB, DSS, API Manager, JBOSS, Tomcat, Apache, Nginix, RabbitMQ, Kafka, and ActiveMQ. Venkata also has an in-depth understanding of network concepts like Firewall, DNS, DHCP, F-5 (LTM, GTM), I-rules, and BIG-IP. Prior to his current role at Apple, Venkata has worked as a Senior Site Reliability Engineer at BitTorrent and as a Senior DevOps/SR Engineer at Centraprise. He holds a Master's degree in Computer Science from the University of Central Missouri and a Bachelor of Technology in Electrical, Electronic and Communications Engineering Technology/Technician from JNTU.
