Venkatesh Sukumaran is an experienced embedded wireless architect and leader with a proven track record of bootstrapping new projects and teams. He is currently working as a Principal Engineer at Morse Micro, where he is leading the team to reinvent WiFi for the next billion IoT devices. Prior to joining Morse Micro, Venkatesh worked at EdgeQ, where he designed a high-performance converged wireless embedded stack and successfully demonstrated end-to-end traffic to potential customers. He also bootstrapped a highly talented software team in Bengaluru, India. Before EdgeQ, Venkatesh worked at Qualcomm Chennai, India, where he led the WLAN Data Path Firmware team and was responsible for designing and deploying next-generation wireless standards (802.11ac/ax/be). He was actively involved in defining the HW/SW interface, architecture improvements, and SW quality improvements. Venkatesh is passionate about unit testing and team building and has a proven track record in the WLAN industry to deliver commercial quality MAC SW from the ground up. He has end-to-end product experience from concept to commercialization and has been part of 6+ WLAN chipset pre-silicon designs, emulation activities, tapeouts, SOD bring-ups, and product certifications during his tenure in Qualcomm. Venkatesh has also worked with numerous OEMs to customize products according to their needs. He has a degree in Electronics and Communications from NIT Silchar and has relevant experience of 13.02 years. His tech stack includes test, senior software engineer, and infra. Venkatesh is a skilled leader and architect who can design and develop complex wireless systems from scratch.
