Vic Kirkpatrick is a highly experienced Senior Data Engineer with over 36 years of experience in the field. With a strong background in relational and cloud-based database design and development, Vic has a proven ability to architect, deliver, maintain, and support innovative, integrated business solutions. He is highly knowledgeable and experienced in writing complex application and processing logic for scripting, stored procedures, functions, triggers, packages, table partitioning, replication, as well as components in ETL (extract, transform and load) and ELT (extract, load and transform) platforms. Currently working as a Sr. Data Engineer at Neptune Technology Group, Vic has also worked as a Senior Data Engineer at IgnitionOne, where he built enterprise-wide data lakes and data warehouses for company products and reports, utilizing Databricks to write Scala and Python code. He has also created online advertising/marketing software using many facets of Microsoft SQL Server, developed and managed tables with billions of rows and terabytes of data, and stored data for hundreds of online search engines and tracking the bids, impressions, clicks, & conversions of users. Prior to his role at IgnitionOne, Vic worked as a Database Designer & Developer at SAIC, where he utilized Microsoft SQL Server technology to design and develop tables, T-SQL scripts, stored procedures, functions, & Integrated Services (SSIS) packages to advance the functionality of the eGrATIS and State and Local Preparedness Program Management Information System (Bioterrorism). Vic holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Business Information Systems from the University of West Georgia. He is highly skilled in Data Engineering, SQL, ETL, AWS, Databricks, Snowflake, Spark, Search, Python, Scala, and Web design.
