Victor Romo is a results-driven Senior Manager of Business Development and Innovation at Ericsson with over 6 years of relevant experience in the field. He is a proven leader with an extensive track record of exceeding expectations and delivering great results in different teams and lines of business. Victor is currently working with internal and external partners to collaborate on innovative solutions for Ericsson's Verizon customer unit. He brings a steady funnel of opportunities to Verizon that can move from a prototype to a new scalable product opportunity. Victor also co-innovates and co-develops new solutions and enhances existing offerings to better serve Verizon's products and services. He facilitates new product tests and releases, network deployments for events, marketing activations, and other similar needs for Verizon. Victor has worked with several notable companies in the past, including Verizon and Booz Allen Hamilton. At Verizon, he was a Principal Solutions Architect and led a new team that was prototyping with partners and creating the 5G roadmap for wireless broadcast solutions. He successfully led the 5G product implementation of several multi-million dollar efforts like the Superbowl 5G Broadcast, 360 Portal for Indy 500, and 5G Mobile Gaming Invitational, collaborating with multiple internal and external stakeholders at the highest stakes and levels of visibility, delivering great new experiences to customers. Victor also collaborated with the NFL on launching the Insider View portion of Verizon’s Multi-View NFL app experience, a unique 360 camera providing behind-the-scenes videos for fans. He was also a 5G device lead working with OEMs deploying private networks, device modifications, and new 5G + Edge Compute prototypes, managing dependencies, risks, and escalations. Victor holds a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) in International Business from Strayer University and a BS in Computer Engineering from Universidad de Puerto Rico. He has a tech stack that includes Senior Software Engineer and Mobile. Victor has won several awards, including the 2018 Hack Day Customer Experience Idea Winner (1/2500 entries), 13 Spotlight Awards Received at Verizon, 2017 One Young World Ambassador for Verizon, and 2015 VLDP App Challenge Winner.
