Vidit is a Computer Vision and Machine Learning enthusiast with over 7 years of relevant experience. He is currently pursuing his Master's thesis at cvlab epfl and Swisscom Digital Lab, where he is working on fine-grained category classification of grocery products from shelf images. Vidit is using Faster RCNN and dense SIFT descriptors to localize and classify the products into 3K categories. Prior to this, Vidit worked as a Research Intern at Technicolor, where he worked on Camera-based Localization using Deep Learning methods. He experimented and modified different models like PoseNet and NetVLAD for indoor localization tasks. He also worked on the implementation of object pose estimation using Convolutional Nets. Vidit has also served as a Student Assistant for Machine Learning Course at EPFL. He was part of a team of teaching assistants for the course exercise sessions and projects. Vidit holds a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Computer Vision, Machine Learning, and Image Processing from Ecole Polytechnique Federale de Lausanne (EPFL). He also holds a Bachelor of Technology (BTech) degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Patna (IIT). Vidit completed his Intermediate education from St. Joseph's School, Shaktinagar UP. Vidit's tech stack includes Computer Vision, Machine Learning, Research Scientist, and Deep Learning. He is passionate about using these technologies to solve complex problems and drive innovation.
