Vijay Kumar is an experienced software professional with over 20 years of experience in software development and a proven track record of delivering high-quality products. He specializes in the Identity and Tools domain and has extensive experience in building test automation frameworks across various platforms, developing tools for increasing dev/qa productivity, and integrating various tools, services, and 3rd party systems. Vijay has a passion for building world-class quality engineering teams and has hands-on expertise in Java, scripting languages, design, and development of test automation frameworks. He also has experience in building testing labs using virtualization (VMWare/Surgient), static code analysis, code coverage, and build tools. Vijay is proficient in testing Platform, Web Services, Web Applications, Enterprise-level, and Desktop applications. Currently, Vijay is a Senior Development Manager at Intuit, where he is responsible for hiring and building a high-performing engineering team. He is also responsible for the high-quality delivery of various Identity services and AWS migration for 5+ Identity services from Intuit Data Center. Prior to his current role, Vijay worked as a Staff Software Engineer at Intuit, where he was the lead engineer for the Dev Security team. He was responsible for technical design and implementation, solving critical challenges and issues, grooming and prioritizing backlog items with product/project managers, and working with cross-functional teams in technologies, quality, scalability, and security. Vijay has also worked as a QA Architect at Apigee, where he managed the QA team, defined processes for testing, schedules, bug meetings, documentation, etc. He also analyzed product requirements specifications, functional specifications, and prepared a detailed functional test specification to be executed by the QA organization. Vijay has a Master of Science degree in Computer Science from Maharshi Dayanand University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics and Physics from Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna Garhwal Univeristy, Srinagar, Garhwal. He is also currently pursuing an Executive (MDP) - Leadership & Change Management degree from XLRI.
