Vijay Prakash is a highly skilled and experienced PhD fellow at the New York University (NYU) ECE department. With a strong background in computer science and information technology, Vijay has been researching security and privacy, with a particular focus on the supply chain of IoT. Prior to joining NYU, Vijay worked as a Senior Staff Security Researcher at Palo Alto Networks, where he analyzed vulnerabilities and wrote signatures to detect them. He also solved some interesting security problems with ML. As a Staff Security Researcher at the same company, Vijay analyzed the root cause of publicly disclosed and researched on Zero-Day vulnerabilities to develop IPS detection logic. He also developed and improved next-generation firewall technology to protect customers and for independent third-party testing, through SDLC. Vijay holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree from NYU, with a focus on ECE. He also holds a Master of Science (MS) degree in Computer Science from the University of Florida and a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology from the University of Pune. In addition to his academic and professional achievements, Vijay possesses excellent research skills, with experience in working as a Research Scientist. He is also proficient in various technologies, including ML and test.
