Vijay Raj is an experienced Lead Developer Software at Empower Retirement with a specialization in application development. With over 8 years of experience in Software Development using Pega/PRPC, Java/J2EE, and other front-end technologies, he has been involved in all phases of Software Development from planning, design to testing and deployments. Vijay has worked with PegaSystems and Accenture Services in the past and has domain experience in Finance, Banking, Insurance, and Retail. Currently, Vijay is part of the technology team under the workflow value stream where an Integrated Platform is created on Pega. This platform will be used for onboarding of retirement plans and is hosted on AWS cloud and using Pega:8.4.1 version. His responsibilities include requirement feasibility, design, development, and unit testing, and deployment. In the past, Vijay has worked as a Senior Solutions Engineer at Pegasystems in North America. He completed his Software Architect (7.2) and Senior Architect (7.1) certification on the Pega Platform and worked on multiple frameworks such as Smart Dispute for Issuer, Customer Service, Sales Automation, and Collections for multiple clients. He was involved in designing multi-tenant applications for TSYS dispute application, which was used by multiple banks. He was also part of the team that delivered applications for Sedgwick and CNO Financial. For his efforts, he was awarded the Team Player award twice during his journey in Pegasystems. Vijay has a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) degree in Information Technology from Asansol Engineering College. His technical skills include Software Engineering, testing, AWS, Java, Frontend, and Senior Software Engineering.
