Vijay Triplicane is a seasoned engineering leader with over 30 years of experience in the field. He is currently the Director of Engineering for Webex Meetings Engineering India at Cisco, where he is responsible for the strategy, execution, and delivery of cloud-based high-quality media services for collaboration. Vijay has built his team from the ground up, with a strong focus on cloud development philosophy, including test-driven development with metrics, continuous integration, zero downtime deployment, horizontal scale, and end-to-end ownership. Throughout his career, Vijay has contributed to high-level strategic visions and translated them into building winning teams that have a distinct signature of passionate end-to-end ownership, thought leadership, and high-quality execution. He is a passionate Agile evangelist and media architect who has built a culture of true cloud ownership and DevOps mindset. Vijay has worked for several prestigious companies throughout his career, including Acuson Inc, where he is currently a Software Engineer, and Cisco, where he served as Director of Engineering for Meetings Engineering India. During his time at Cisco, Vijay relocated to India and grew the team from 18 to 100+ in just five years. He envisioned new charters, built new roadmaps, and drove innovative ownership across multiple tracks. He also led by example and mentored leaders to significantly improve influence and broaden their impact. Vijay's education background includes a Master of Science degree in Computer Engineering from West Virginia University and the University of Southern California, as well as a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from the University of Madras. His tech stack includes Senior Software Engineer, test, microservices, DevOps, infra, CI/CD, integration, and software engineer.
