Vikas Acharya is an experienced IT executive with a passion for technology and a successful background in financial services, compliance, telecoms, B2B/B2C, managed services, consultancy, and corporate sectors. With over 15 years of relevant experience, he is highly customer-focused, commercially-driven, and has the ability to lead and manage innovative IT solutions. Vikas has solid consulting experience working onsite with tier-1 clients across three continents. He has enterprise architecture and business design skills and the ability to engage with key stakeholders to deliver "cost/time appropriate" IT solutions and business process change through architectural and industry best practices. He is a start-up enthusiast and invests in and mentors start-ups in creating MVP, investment decks, go-to-market strategy, and also helps in raising funds. Vikas is active in start-up circles in the UK and India. Vikas's specialties include IT leadership, IT strategy and architecture, bridging the gap between business and technology, outsourcing strategies, relationship/vendor management, strategic consulting, digital innovation, and leading IT development practice. Currently, Vikas is a visiting fellow at Cambridge Digital Innovation, which was established to stimulate interaction between industry professionals, policy makers, academics, students, and enthusiasts on the most exciting and impactful phenomena driving the digital revolution. In the past, Vikas has worked as a CTO (consultant) for a hedge fund start-up in London, providing executive consultancy for asset management. He has also served as a director, solution/enterprise architect at Hashtech Consultancy, serving clients with cutting-edge technologies and the know-how to apply them to their individual business models. Vikas holds a Master's degree in Executive MBA from the University of Cambridge, a Master of Science in Software Systems from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani, and a Bachelor Of Engineering in Information Technology from Vishveshwaraiah Technological University.
