Vikas B is a Senior Software Engineer with over 7 years of experience in the field. He holds a Bachelor of Technology degree from the National Institute of Technology Karnataka (NITK) Surathkal, where he honed his strong problem-solving skills. He believes in thinking from a business perspective to reduce human efforts involved in a process through the power of machines. Currently, Vikas is a Software Engineer at yo2yoga, where he was the first employee and developed a tool to conduct live online yoga sessions using webRTC. He also created a new data management tool for internal management of yoga teachers and students. Vikas was involved in integrating payment gateway to the website and developed both front-end and back-end systems of Yo2Yoga using Nodejs, AngularJs, Express, PostgresSql, HTML, and CSS. In his previous role at Seven Lakes, Vikas maintained, fixed, and optimized issues in the code base for AFE Workflow product using C#, MySql, and Ext.Js. He implemented the cost model feature for AFE Workflow, which significantly reduced data input time for cost codes. Vikas also worked on UI, API, and DB for product enhancements and added more notification and alert services to track the routing of AFEs. He improved the performance of the system by reducing the number of queries to manipulate data. Vikas has a diverse educational background, including a post-matriculation degree in PCME from St. Aloysius PU College Mangalore and a 10th-grade degree in Science and Social Science from Chinmaya Vidyalaya Vidyanagar Kasaragod. Vikas has a strong tech stack that includes Software Engineering, JavaScript, MySQL, UI, SQL, Frontend, Backend, NodeJS, and AngularJS.
