Vikas Gupta is a seasoned Senior Engineering Manager with over 20 years of experience leading multi-geographical teams. He is currently the Global Head of Engineering for "Hitech Smart Devices" at HCL America Inc, where he is responsible for the development of multimedia players, audio and video streaming services, consumer headed device platform software development, operating system, device drivers, firmware, and more. Prior to his current role, Vikas was an Engineering Manager at Intel, where he was responsible for the platform software development in the Consumer/IoT domain supporting various vertical business lines. He also worked at Sony as a Senior Software Engineer, where he was responsible for Android handsets' new features enablement, debugging, triaging, stability, and performance improvement. Vikas holds an MBA in Marketing from Symbiosis and a Bachelor of Technology in Electronics and Communications from NIT Hamirpur. He is proficient in Senior Software Engineering, Android, Azure, DevOps, Jenkins, Integration, and Mobile. With 18.63 years of relevant experience, Vikas is a seasoned professional who is passionate about system engineering, especially around the Linux/Android eco-system.
