Vikas Kaushik is an experienced Software Developer with 8.78 years of relevant experience in the field. He has a Master of Science degree in Computer Science from BITS Pilani Work Integrated Learning Programmes and a Bachelor of Technology degree in Information Technology from Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Technology and Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University. Vikas has a strong passion for quality, growth, and learning. He has worked on tech projects from scratch, including architecture design, setup structure, CI/CD, and developing libraries and tools to help his team. He is always refactoring and improving the code. His current work involves Golang, Microservices, Rest APIs, Kafka, CI/CD, OAuth, Docker, and Kubernetes. Currently, Vikas is working as an SDE-4 at Walmart, where he is part of the platform team in the US, working in IST timezone. The team is responsible for observability tech across Walmart US. He designs and develops services at Walmart scale and develops and maintains Kubernetes Operators and CRDs. Before Walmart, Vikas worked at ThoughtWorks as an Application Developer, where he worked on various projects, including Bank App, Sales data ingestion, Employee-web, and Health Management. He also worked at Ciena as an SDE 2, where he developed REST APIs for different features independently and made significant contributions towards refactoring and bug fixing. Vikas has expertise in various technologies such as Docker, CI/CD, Kubernetes, Kafka, Golang, Spring, Microservices, Web, Ansible, Java, Jenkins, Redux, UI, Frontend, and Cassandra. He loves to be among empathetic intellectuals and live sustainably, and he is a first-principles thinker.
