MyGov was launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 26th July 2014, just two months after he assumed office as Prime Minister, as the principle citizen engagement platform of Government of India, giving people the opportunity to work towards Surajya through their ideas, suggestions and grass root level contribution.

As enunciated by Prime Minister in many speeches, including in his speech from the Red Fort on 15th August 2015, MyGov aims to promote 'Jan Bhagidari' or participative governance. Since its launch more than 3.43 million citizens have become a part of this mass movement.

Through Group Discussions, Open Forum discussions, Tasks, Polls, Blogs, Contests, Talks, and other regular features, MyGov empowers the citizens to become an active participant in policy making at the national level. 

Policy ideas and suggestions for the General and Rail Budget for both 2015-16 and 2016-17, Smart City Mission, discussions for framing the New Education Policy, and the debate on Net Neutrality have been some of the prominent discussions in which a large number of citizens have participated. 

Logos and slogans for such prominent national programs such as Swachh Bharat, Digital India, Jan Dhan, etc have also been sourced through MyGov.

Every month, Prime Minister Modi also seeks ideas and suggestions for his Mann ki Baat Radio Broadcast through the MyGov Open Forum and Phone in Toll Free Number (1800-11-7800).

To reach the citizens in the various dimensions of a participative process, number of MyGov micro-sites are available for the citizens to engage and interact.

The platform allows job seekers to create a profile by mentioning skills, education, and experience, upload cv, view jobs, and apply based on their interests. It allows recruiters to post jobs, view candidate profiles, and hire candidates.

Yuvaan, the official literary fest of Delhi Technological University, laid the foundation of a legacy with its premier edition in 2017. Deriving from the Hindi word Yuva, the fest captures the vigour, boldness and the spontaneity associated with the youth. It represents the quintessential voice responsible for moulding the future. Yuvaan exhibits the perfect amalgamation of technology, science and literature. The fest emphasises the literary aspects including and not restricted to writing, reading and observing prose and poetry. The aim is to provide entertainment, enlightenment, and instruction to the audience. It is often said, “Actions speak louder than words”; Yuvaan proves to be magnetic  by pulling every person out there powered by the fusion of classical literature with modern, divergent and unconventional  literary events.Yuvaan'17, had a humble beginning, and was followed by many interesting events such as talk show, poets collective, motivational speakers, bonfire night etc. and the closing ceremony. It also included conventional events like poetry slam, conventional debate, letter writing etc.Yuvaan'18 was a bigger hit. It created a furore in the Delhi NCR region. With the theme 'The Elixir of Life,'​ over 40k people participated and attended Yuvaan. Yuvaan has been graced by DTU's own alumni and national bestseller, Durjoy Datta, artists of the viral slam poetry group UnErase Poetry, the wonderful Nizami Brothers who gave the perfect closing ceremony in the form of a Sufi Night, Major General GD Bakshi, celebrated journalists such as Sunetra Chaudhary, Rohit Sardana, Sanket Upadhyay and many more.
