Vikas Singh is an experienced software engineering leader with over 17 years of relevant experience in the industry. He is currently working as an Engineering Leader at HCL, which is a Dell EMC rebadge company. Vikas has a strong technical background and expertise in cloud services such as GCP, AWS, and Azure, as well as container technologies like Docker and Kubernetes. He is also proficient in automation tools like Python and Perl and has extensive experience in DevOps and CI/CD using Git, Jenkins, Terraform, and Ansible. Vikas has a deep understanding of virtualization technologies such as VMware vSphere and Microsoft Hyper-V, and he has worked with storage arrays like NetApp, EMC storage array, and VPLEX/VE (Storage Virtualization). He is well-versed in server hardware like Cisco UCS, HP Proliant, IBM, Dell PowerEdge Servers, and Cisco/IBM Network Switches. In his previous roles, Vikas has worked as an Engineering Leader at Dell, where he led a team of software engineers and managed agile processes such as standups and Scrum rituals. He was responsible for reviewing automation and QA strategies, design documents, test plans, and code check-ins. Vikas also drove initiatives to improve efficiency and effectiveness and worked with peers, program, product, and cross-product management. Before joining Dell, Vikas worked as a Member of Technical Staff at NetApp, where he developed and implemented an internal cloud that provisions the necessary Virtual Simulator to all users on a need basis on the VMware virtualization platform. He implemented a test strategy, test cases, and execution and automation using an in-house built framework using Perl. Vikas holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree from Amravati University.
