Vikash Prasad is a Research Fellow PhD at the University of Oklahoma with close to 6 years of experience in the field of Natural Language Processing (NLP), Predictive Intelligence, and core Python programming. He was born and brought up in Bengal and has a Master's degree in Computational and Applied Mathematics from Indian Institute of Technology (Indian School of Mines), Dhanbad. He also completed a Data Science Bootcamp from Galvanize in San Francisco, Soma. Currently, his focus is on Explainable Machine Learning (XAI), where he is trying to interpret sequence to sequence models for the purpose of classification in the case of protein classification (pathogenic/non-pathogenic). Vikash has worked as a Data Scientist in the past, where he worked on all things related to NLP. At Policybazaar, he developed a couple of products, including fraud detection using customer attributes and extracting customer profiles like age, education, qualification, income, etc. from ASR(transcripts) which can be used to target specific customer profiles. He has also worked as a Machine Learning Thesis Supervisor at Upgrad. Vikash has experience in various tech stacks, including ML, Python, Scikit, NLU, Keras, Pandas, Text Classification, Jenkins, CI/CD, Docker, AWS, Pytorch, Information Retrieval, Random Forest, Apache Hive, CNN, Elastic Search, Search, and Azure.
