Vikram Basu is a seasoned Lead Member of Technical Staff at Seceon Inc. with over 10 years of relevant experience in the field of software engineering, big data, Spark, Python, Docker, and Elastic Search. He has been working as a network security analyst and has extensive experience in Big Data collection and parsing of logs and flows from hundreds of devices. Vikram is known for his exceptional skills in creating multiple new software packages on top of existing Open Source software like Zeek (formally Bro) and Osquery. He is also very familiar with Visual Studio Code, which is his preferred IDE, and using Vim as his text editor. He has created many extensions and multiple custom Docker containers for deployment on-prem and in the cloud. Additionally, Vikram has created multiple REST API servers to make connections between Python scripts and other software for fetching data and manipulating it. He has also created a py-spark data analytics loader that can load over 10GB/s of compressed logs into Elasticsearch for Big Data analytics. Vikram is a focused and dedicated professional who is capable of leading multiple team members to design a solution and implement it in a time-bound manner while ensuring that the code is written while maintaining standard practices like logging and indentation. He has previously worked as a Software Consultant at Shyamacharan Properties and as a Project Engineer at Wipro. Vikram holds a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in Computer Science and Engineering from Future Institute of Engineering and Management, where he graduated in 2012.
