Vikram Patil is a seasoned technologist with over 15 years of experience in the software engineering industry. He is currently the Co-Founder and Head of Engineering at phyt.health, a company that focuses on developing innovative healthcare solutions. Prior to his current role, Vikram held several key positions in top-tier companies such as orbcomm and datatorrent. As an Engineering Manager for Big Data Analytics at orbcomm, he led the efforts to take their IoT product for Child Safety live to production, utilizing AWS and DataTorrent RTS Platform. At datatorrent, he architected and developed a Python capability for the open source project Apache Apex, which allowed users to develop entirely and partially in Python. He also delivered successful training of DataTorrent platform to Accenture, HCL, Mindstix, Orbcomm, among others. Vikram is a highly skilled software engineer with expertise in Big Data, Python, AWS, Spark, and Java. He has a Master's degree in Computer Science from the University of Southern California and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Pune Institute of Computer Technology. He is a regular speaker at technology conferences and webinars, having delivered talks about DataTorrent technologies at Apex BigData World 2017 and online.
