Vimal Patel is a Full Stack Developer with a passion for web development and technology. He has a keen eye for pixel-perfect UI and is a skilled debugger when it comes to the back-end. Vimal believes that having a growth mindset and learning every day is the key to success. He has worked on several live projects, including a portfolio website, Recall Flashcards, Calorigram, Github Finder, and Chuck Norris Joke Generator. Currently working as an Android Application Developer at t.i.g.e.r. innovations, Vimal has experience working with a small and dynamic team on creating a business-oriented social networking app called WickedMondays. He has created aesthetic UI according to Material Design guidelines, dealt with complex views like RecyclerView and CardView, made API calls to the server, stored data locally on the device, used external libraries, retrieved device information, and supported multiple screens and configurations. Prior to his current role, Vimal worked as a Software Engineer Trainee at mountblue, where he completed an intense 60-hour/week boot camp known for creating highly competent and sought-after engineers. He gained hands-on experience in Full Stack development, creating multiple projects with technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, React, Redux, Node.js, Express.js, and MongoDB. Vimal also collaboratively created a capstone project called Mentor's Dashboard and presented it to all employees. Vimal has also worked as a Software Developer at active.ai, a fintech company that brings conversational banking as a platform service for credit unions and banks. As a back-end developer, he owned the development of several conversational flows on an AI chatbot, demonstrating a robust understanding of the MVC pattern. He took significant responsibility in the various stages of an agile software cycle, from speaking to the client, to the development, debugging, and deployment to the many environments such as dev, SIT, and UAT. Vimal was a collaborative team player and an effective communicator, working in tandem with managers, teammates, designers, data scientists, product teams, business analysts, and QA engineers.
