Vinayak Kagalkar is an accomplished engineering executive with over 25 years of experience in Fintech, Wireless, Bluetooth, Mobile, Unified Communications, Cloud, POS, and Payments system product development. He is currently the SVP and Head of Engineering for Clover at Fiserv, where he leads software development, QA, and customer solution teams. Vinayak has a proven track record of managing and scaling high-performance software development teams and project life cycle management. He brings rich experience in developing technology roadmaps, product requirements, and overall system design. Throughout his career, Vinayak has held management and leadership positions at several leading technology companies, including Micrel, Cisco, HP, StaVox, NEC Japan, and others. He is a proven, successful leader of stealth-mode development teams, leading software as well as hardware manufacturing, building and hiring talent, and refining products through customer-driven engagements. Vinayak brings complete system knowledge from Operating Systems, Middleware/API layers, Network protocols, Product Security, and Device Management. Vinayak's expertise lies in Enterprise Mobility, where he has led multiple architecture and product developments, from setting up BYOD strategies to Bluetooth integration of Mobile (iOS, Android) Devices with IP Endpoints, to development of ground-breaking Cisco IP Phones AND Clover POS devices using Android and Embedded Linux Platforms. He has also worked on redefining LAN Solution software reference design for different verticals that includes residential, SMB and enterprise VoIP, Industrial and automotive Ethernet, Ethernet for digital home and entertainment, Smart home, Internet of things, etc. Vinayak holds a Master's degree in Computer Science & Technology from UVCE Bangalore, India, and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science Engineering from UVCE. He has expertise in Senior Software Engineering, Android, Parts-of-speech, Software Engineering, Mobile, QA, iOS, Integration, and Web. With his relevant experience of 26.53 years, Vinayak is a seasoned leader in the technology industry and has proven his ability to deliver innovative solutions that meet customer and industry needs.
