Vineet Anand is a highly skilled Engineer with a specialization in System Modeling. He is currently working at Eaton as an Engineer, where he is responsible for the design and analysis of automotive engine valve-train. Vineet has received the Outstanding Technology Achievement Award in 2018 from CTO's office for the development of a multiphysics modeling methodology for Variable Valve Actuation (VVA) mechanisms. This methodology is now being used extensively for all new product development programs and has led to a significant reduction in lead time. In addition to his work on engine valve-train, Vineet is also working on a next-gen in-house solution for cloud-based fleet-level driveline prognostics solution at Eaton. He uses sensor signatures onboard the truck to extract relevant features from the multi-channel time series data using pairwise significance tests. These features are further used for classification using a trained classifier to identify faults in real-time. Prior to joining Eaton, Vineet worked as an Intern at General Electric's Oil and Gas business, where he built a 1D model for the lubrication system of a class of gas turbines. He also developed a VBA application with a GUI to interact with the analysis tool to reduce the runtime for optimization setup and Monte-Carlo analysis. He demonstrated a 15% reduction in lead time for analysis prediction and selection of components using the VBA application. Vineet has experience in managing events as well. He worked as a Manager for Electronics Events at Techkriti, Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur, where he led a 3-tier team of 6 coordinators, 15 secretaries, and volunteers to organize one of the largest electronic circuit design events in India. He expanded the outreach further by new publicity efforts and initiating negotiations for industry sponsorship and achieved unprecedented participation growth of 40% YoY. Vineet holds a BTech-Mtech Dual degree in Mechanical Engineering from IIT and completed his High School education from Vivekanand International, New Delhi.
